Writing is a gym for my brain, a place I must visit a few times a week to exercise my thinking process. It’s an investment to open my mind, relax, and foster curiosity. It’s a place to achieve something unique from nothing—a sentence from words, a paragraph from sentences and a story from paragraphs. Thought inspires writing, and writing widens and deepens the thoughts. Writing endurance is a skill, and all the universal laws apply.
Practice makes perfect, the same way exercising our body makes us feel, look, and think better. Consistency in the gym improves physical health, so regular writing sessions enhance mental clarity and creativity. In the end, writing is learning. This blog is my brain gym, and I mostly write for myself. However, having teammates, partners, and supporters is often fun. It drives our competitiveness, makes it more meaningful and allows us to learn faster from each other. If you are reading this, thank you.
Reminder to myself. If you ever get stuck with writing, revisit “How to Become an Idea Machine” by James Altucher and challenge yourself to list ten ideas that day. Inspiration can come from anywhere. Let’s turn writing workouts into a powerhouse of creativity.
